Peter,

Voor zover ik het allemaal kan controleren is alles verwijdert behalve Iomega.
Ulead, HP en Windows...Blu-Ray kan ik niet checken. Deze stonden in het zoek result.log
Zie de plaatjes hieronder.
Als je op Iomega klikt krijg je deze foutmelding.



En als je dan op OK klikt verschijnt dit lege scherm,



Is er een manier om dit nog te verwijderen?

Had je wel eerst STAP 1 gedaan en daarna pas STAP 2 ?

De Ulead en HP items zouden weg moeten zijn na het uitzoeken van STAP 2.
Klopt dat?

Peter, ik zie het al, mijn vorige tekst was wat onduidelijk.
Ulead, HP en dat Windows....Blu-Ray zijn inderdaad ook verwijdert.
Wat overblijft is dat restant van Iomega. De link daarnaartoe helpt mij niet.
Ik heb het apparaat en de software niet meer. Ik denk dat ik het ooit op een onhandige manier heb verwijdert.
De software was indertijd voor W95/98.
Het is meer een cosmetische zaak die mij irriteert. Als het verder niet verwijdert kan worden is het ook goed. Dan weet ik dat we ons best hebben gedaan en het verder niet in de weg zit.

Defrag gedraaid. Was 17% gedefragmenteerd.

Even terugkomen op het afvinken in msconfig:
Ik meldde dat ik er 3 had afgevinkt en de rest er al niet meer was. Maar daarna liep het iets anders.
Ik kan die regels wel afvinken en op apply klikken waarna een restart moet plaatsvinden, maar dan komt de restart met de mededeling dat er vanaf nu in "selective start up" wordt opgestart met een bevestingsvraag schermpje.
Hmmmmm, heb het dus maar even gelaten voor wat het is.
Ik heb toen gekozen voor "normal start up" en daardoor zijn de afgevinkte items weer ongedaan gemaakt.

Dan gaan we Zoek nog eens gebruiken:
Start Zoek opnieuw:

• Schakel je antivirus- en antispywareprogramma's uit, mogelijk kunnen ze conflicteren met zoek.exe
  (hier of hier) kan je lezen hoe je dat doet.
• Windows XP gebruikers: Dubbelklik op Zoek.exe om de tool te starten.
• Windows Vista, 7 en 8 gebruikers: Rechtsklik op Zoek.exe en klik op Als Administrator uitvoeren.
• Kopieer nu onderstaande code en plak die in het invulvenster:
• Note: Dit script is speciaal bedoeld voor deze PC, gebruik dit dan ook niet op andere PC's met een gelijkwaardig probleem.

• Kopieer en plak de inhoud van het geopende logje in je volgend bericht.

Hoi Peter,

Kleine uitleg maar misschien overbodig. Iomega was een van de eerste data opslag media, met oversized disks.
Daarnaast kwam een hulp programma "Iomega active disk" om schijven van een andere letter te voorzien.
Hiermee kon je dus bijvoorbeeld de Iomega disk de Z schijf maken.
De software voor Iomega zelf is er niet meer. Het gaat dus om het restant om schijven te hernoemen.

Netjes dacht ik zo.

Je kan nog de verborgen map c:\Windows\$hf_mig$ en de verborgen bestanden c:\Windows\$Uninstall... verwijderen om schijfruimte vrij te maken.

Download CCleaner Slim.
Installeer CCleaner en start CCleaner daarna.

- Klik in de linkse kolom op Cleaner.
- Klik achtereenvolgens op Analyseren en Opschonen.
- Klik vervolgens in de linkse kolom op Register en klik op Scan naar problemen.
- Als er fouten gevonden worden klik je op Herstel geselecteerde problemen en OK.
- Op de vraag om een back-up te maken, klik op JA en vervolgens op Opslaan.
- Klik dan op Herstel alle geselecteerde fouten.

Sluit CCleaner.

Ik kom toch nog even terug op de Iomega restanten.
Ik heb in regedit gezocht naar "iomega" en daar komen nogal wat "hits" op.
Is er een manier om het hieruit te verwijderen? 
Ik weet dat regedit een teer punt is i.v.m. de risicos en gevaren die kleven aan het wijzigen van het register.
Gaarne jouw advies in deze.

Ik zal straks een nieuwe thread starten voor mijn Acer (niet Aspire, foutje, sorry) laptop.

Het zou best kunnen dat de website een redirect doet maar......
Stel je voor dat je iets uit wil zoeken van een Amerikaanse leverancier die ook een website in NL heeft maar met een beperkter leverings programma. Jij wil iets opzoeken uit het Amerikaanse leveringsprogramma op de .com site maar je wordt steeds terug geleid naar de .NL site.
Er moet toch een manier zijn om zo'n redirect te omzeilen? Of zie ik dat nu fout?
Ik ga daar straks maar eens op Googlen.

Als ik regedit: edit - find - find what = iomega en dan aleen "keys" aanvink,
dan is de eerste "find" voor iomega in HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE
Kan ik die dan gewoon deleten?

Ik maak natuurlijk eerst een back up van de registry.

Waarschijnlijk wel maar laten we eerst maar eens kijken waar dat zoal staat.

Start Zoek opnieuw:

• Schakel je antivirus- en antispywareprogramma's uit, mogelijk kunnen ze conflicteren met zoek.exe
  (hier of hier) kan je lezen hoe je dat doet.
• Windows XP gebruikers: Dubbelklik op Zoek.exe om de tool te starten.
• Windows Vista, 7 en 8 gebruikers: Rechtsklik op Zoek.exe en klik op Als Administrator uitvoeren.
• Kopieer nu onderstaande code en plak die in het invulvenster:
• Note: Dit script is speciaal bedoeld voor deze PC, gebruik dit dan ook niet op andere PC's met een gelijkwaardig probleem.

• Klik nu op de knop "Run Script".

• Kopieer en plak de inhoud van het geopende logje in je volgend bericht.

Hoi Ruud,

Ik denk dat je die register items wel kan verwijderen.
Maak wel eerst een register backup!!
En pas op met het verwijderen via RegEdit. Een foutje is snel gemaakt.

Probleem opgelost! 

Na eerst een kopie van het register te hebben gemaakt heb ik (bijna) alle key's verwijdert.
Probleem bleef nog steeds bestaan. Toen zag ik dat in de omschrijving "autodisk" stond.
Verkenner hierop laten zoeken en vond; autodisk.cpl
Dit bestand verplaatst, herstart en.........tadaaaaa, weg!
