Hi.

Global Quoting Layout does not operate on your forum.

Add the language selection on your forum, with English interface at least.
Add the English language board, something like ~SMF Predicaments~.
Study global quoting format.

I guess the biggest challenge to implement this
(I agree it should be in a mod first),
would be to have a Reply button not to the entire thread,
but Reply buttons below every message in a topic.
Maybe some hidden quotation could be used, I don't know...

I was following the thread.
To request a feature is correct.
To request a feature in your own topic is more correct.
Regardless of the past public refuse of the developers.
Otherwise the developers will not discover
the growing interest of the feature needed.

But after the next personal refuse to you
it is quite reasonable to branch to your next own topic
in Mod request board, with the post beginning with grivitinik
from your own Feature request topic.

Just the presence of the Mod request
on simplemachines centralised resource
is the Win.
The interested Humans, including coders,
would get a chance to Unite outside the developers' site -
through backlinks in global quotes of the mod discussion posts.
